Brett is a minor antagonist portrayed by Frank Whaley in Pulp Fiction. He is a business associate of Marsellus Wallace.

Pulp Fiction[]

Final Meal[]

He and his friends managed to acquire a briefcase belonging to Marsellus Wallace. Marsellus sent Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega to retrieve the briefcase, and kill Brett and his friends. Jules and Vincent arrive at Brett’s apartment while he is eating burgers with his friends. Jules mocks Brett while Vincent roams around the kitchen. Jules asks them where the brief case is, and one of them tells them it’s in a cupboard. Vincent finds the briefcase and opens it, seemingly in awe of what’s inside. Vincent closes the briefcase and takes it.

Death[]

Brett attempts to explain himself, however Jules shoots and kills one of his friends while he is talking. Jules antagonizes Brett and says this passage for the Bible: Ezekiel 25:17 “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you." After he repeats this passage, he and Vincent both shoot Brett in the chest and back multiple times, killing him.
