General Sanford Smithers is a major antagonist in Quentin Tarantino's film The Hateful Eight. He is a Civil War ex-Confederate officer who is staying at Minnie's Haberdashery. He was also the father of Chester Charles Smithers.
He was portrayed by Bruce Dern, who also played Old Man Carrucan in Django Unchained and George Spahn in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.
