The Gimp was a minor antagonist in Quentin Tarantino's 2nd film, Pulp Fiction. He was a tortured victim of Zed and Maynard.
Biography[]
The Gimp was taken custody of Maynard and Zed whilst hitchhiking, they proceeded to make the gimp their "Perfect Victim", by the time of the film the gimp had been in custody of Zed and Maynard for several long years.
Also (According to the actor) the Gimp's voice is mouthed as if his tongue had been removed, possibly so he can talk or scream during the rapes.
Running from a mob boss named Marsellus Wallace, Butch Coolidge runs into a pawn shop owned by Maynard. Butch gains the upper hand there, but is stopped by Maynard from killing Marsellus. Maynard knocks Butch unconscious, and calls Zed. Butch wakes up in the downstairs of the pawn shop, him and Marsellus tied to chairs with gags in their mouths. Zed arrives at the pawn shop, and after a while of talking to the two captured men, Zed tells Maynard to get the Gimp, and Maynard complies. Maynard then opens up a small box and a man dressed in a full body leather suit and a leather mask that makes him unable to speak steps out. Maynard leads this man, whom they call the Gimp, towards Butch and Marsellus, and Zed tells the Gimp to watch Butch while he takes Marsellus in the back. Maynard hooks the gimp up to the ceiling by the collar to prevent him escaping, but while he’s still watching Butch, the latter gets out of his restraints, and as the Gimp starts to scream in order to get Zed and Maynard’s attention, Butch knocks him out with a single punch, resulting in the gimp to be strangled to death while unconscious.
